Mayne Island is located off the BC coast. It is a short ferry ride. Make sure to check that the ferry that you choose actually stops at Mayne as it can be confusing. Mayne Island is one of the lesser used islands and there are parts of it that remain very "untouched". Real estate is still relatively inexpensive. The people are awesome. I was offered a lift by a dozen islanders while walking along the "highway" while waiting for my ride.
