I guess I have just opened a blog about our trip across Canada. I will have to get some of the other guys in on this site.
Right now, we are in the preparitory stages, and are not yet ready to start any sort of planning. The trip will be going on two summers from now, on May 1, 2010. We will go from St.John's to Vancouver (or vice versa) and plan to make the whole distance in slightly less than four months.
We will also be expected to train for this. I suppose we should also come up with a program for that as well.

Wow, that sounds like quite an awesome experience you've got brewing up. Any idea what sort of places you'll visit along the way?
Yeah, we will be taking the trans canada trail as far as we can go. This means we will be stopping at multiple cities along the way. We are also going to be taking key detours, which are yet to be decided upon.
Three places that are a MUST to see along the trail via detour are:
1. Niagra Falls (:P)
2. Great Plains Provincial Park in Saskatchewan
3. Columbia Glacier in Alberta
We will probably extend this list to account for maybe 10 or 11 more stops. Some will be made on a whim, after figuring out how much time it will take from our scheduale.
Sounds like this will be an amazing experience. Enjoy!
Ditto. Sounds great.
Don't forget the great waterways for canoeing around Northwestern Ontario
Biking, hitchhiking?
So for anyone who is interested:
We are going to be biking the whole way WITHOUT van assistance (we decided after some thought). This will require more careful thought, but is much, much less expensive. I will post more as it comes along.
