About: “I'm a magazine and digital media editor/writer based in Toronto. I'm married to Teri, for 10 years and counting. We have no pets, no kids, so why do I spend so little time on the river? My first whitewater kayaking was on a weekend course at Madawaska Kanu Centre in 2000. Was instantly hooked. I'm an intermediate paddler, but I paddle conservatively to stay out of trouble. A fun eddy-hopping class III and a few good waves is more than enough for me. Right now I'm paddling a Wavesport EZ. I tried snowboarding for the first time in 2007. Was also instantly hooked -- I must be the instantly hookable type. And at least I've managed to get a fair bit of boarding into the 07/08 winter.”
Interests: whitewater kayaking, hiking, camping, mountainbiking, snowboarding
Certifications: first aid, whitewater rescue
